The third annual LEI Worldwide Charity Golf Day took place at Fota Island Resort in Cork, on the Deerpark Course, three-time host of the Irish Open. Teams came from across Ireland’s financial services industry, investment funds, asset management, fund administration, legal, compliance, and played ahead of the annual basis.point regional dinner.
The event has grown each year: nine teams in 2025, sixteen this year. That growth belongs to the clients, partners and friends who keep showing up, not to us.
Where the money goes?
basis.point is the Irish investment funds industry’s charity. It funds educational opportunities for children and young people from disadvantaged communities across Ireland.
This year’s golf raised €1,850, and BNY matched it, doubling what goes to the cause.
Sister Joan Bowles Cup
Waystone won the day, and with it became the first name on the Sister Joan Bowles Cup.
The cup is new this year, introduced in memory of Joan Bowles, founder of Limerick Youth Service.
Joan spent her life creating educational opportunities for young people who needed them most, which is also, precisely, what basis.point exists to do. Putting her name on the trophy felt right.

More Than The Golf...
The golf matters less than what’s around it. The day exists so people across the Irish funds industry can spend a few hours together off the clock, and so the industry puts something back into communities it doesn’t usually touch.
